Who we are
Sahi Exam is an independent, free service that alerts students about government exams they are eligible for. We are not a government body. Questions or requests about your data: report@sahiexam.in.
What we collect, and only if you subscribe
Your date of birth, category, highest qualification and state (to match exams); your language; the exams you follow; and a way to reach you: a browser push address, or an email address. We also keep a record of your consent (the wording you agreed to and when).
Gender, disability and ex-serviceman answers never leave your device. We never ask for your name, phone number, address or location, and we do not use advertising trackers. We do not store your IP address in our database.
Why we use it
Only to send you the exam alerts you asked for. We do not sell your data and we do not show ads.
Searches and mistake reports
When you search, we keep the search words without anything that identifies you, with the time rounded to the hour, for up to 180 days, to learn which exams people look for. Anything that looks like an email address or phone number is discarded. A mistake report is sent to us by email; we keep only which exam and what kind of mistake, for up to 180 days.
Who handles your data for us
Cloudflare hosts this website and our database, and runs the bot check you may see when subscribing. Amazon Web Services (Mumbai) delivers email, once email alerts are on. Push alerts travel through your browser maker’s push service (Google, Apple, Mozilla or Microsoft). These providers process data only to deliver the service.
How long we keep it
Until you delete it or unsubscribe. An email address you never confirm is dropped after 7 days. If you have no email and no push device left for 30 days, we delete your record. A delivery log that stops us sending an alert twice is kept for up to one year.
Your choices
On the Manage page you can change your details, pause alerts, turn push on or off for a device, unfollow exams, and delete all your data at once. Deleting is immediate. Every email also has an unsubscribe link.
Age
Alerts are for people aged 18 or over. If your date of birth shows you are under 18, we do not sign you up and we do not keep it. You can still check eligibility; that happens on your own device.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that affects your data, we will ask for your consent again.
